Senior Sales Executive

Founded by senior economists from the World Bank and Brookings, WDL is a data science SaaS enterprise that uses cutting-edge peer-reviewed methodologies and AI to most credibly model and forecast spending power as well as demographic dynamics. With the data comprised in our MarketPro tool, businesses all over the world can make better strategic decisions based on unique insights into the market.

Apart from our commercial side, we have also founded an NGO to be at the forefront of the ESG trend and to create sustainable impact by tracking SDGs in real-time through our various projects like population.io, worldpoverty.io, and worldhunger.io.

We are looking for candidates who thrive in fast-paced environments, don’t shy away from challenges, and genuinely want to make an impact. To make sure even more companies can benefit from our unique data insights, WDL is currently looking for an experienced Senior Sales Executive to join our team.

Your Contribution

  • Identify and develop enterprise opportunities across selected key verticals
  • Build a profile of target accounts and develop impactful, strategic sales plans
  • Successfully take care of a high volume of engagements independently
  • Continuously analyze and optimize ongoing partnerships based on KPIs
  • Lead the expansion to promising new industry verticals and niche markets and create go-to-market strategies
  • Report performance on a weekly basis and highlight current results as well as future opportunities
  • Engage with Product and Tech teams to drive product strategy based on market-feedback
  • Represent World Data Lab at conferences and across other relevant channels
  • Learn, have fun, and get things done!

What we are looking for

  • At least 2-5 years of enterprise sales experience, preferably selling digital products to senior audiences/management-level executives
  • Demonstrated track record of top performance in building strong relationships with clients and successful business development
  • Big plus: Understanding of the consumer insights/market research industry – either agency or client side – and the key solutions available
  • Experience in planning and implementing sales strategies
  • Ability to operate in fast-paced environments and manage a high volume of engagements simultaneously without losing sight of the key priorities
  • Excellent negotiation, communication (verbal and written), and presentation skills as well as the ability to foster long-term relationships with our partners
  • High level of problem-solving skills, structured thinking, and dedication as well as IT savviness
  • Flexible, tactful, and friendly team player, display of good social skills and high emotional intelligence
  • Fluency in English is essential, additional languages are advantageous

We offer a base salary starting at 50,000 EUR per year and offer considerable overpayment based on previous experience plus a performance-based compensation.
